Seven Seas Grandeur will be the name of Regent Seven Seas Cruises' next flagship, scheduled for delivery next November 2023.

“While our new ships are always highly anticipated Seven Seas Grandeur has proven to be so popular, we had to create an additional sailing for her inaugural season,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “The incredible reception for Seven Seas Grandeur is a testament not only to the strong demand for luxury cruising but also for Regent’s position as the leader in this space with every luxury included, unmatched hospitality, and unrivaled space at sea. We are excited and immensely proud to welcome guests on board Seven Seas Grandeurlater this year.”

"It will be a great honor for me to be the Master of this ship."

To celebrate the announcement of the ship's upcoming launch, Captain Luciano Montesanto filmed a special message directly from the Ancona shipyard, updating the many fans of the cruise world, and there are millions of people around the world, on the progress of the ship's construction and describing what it means for him to have to lead this new unit of the American Company.

Captain Luciano Montesanto was born and raised in Crotone, Calabria, which is  where, as soon as he can, he returns to find “my family, my childhood, my identity”.

For over 20 years he has been at sea, and the sea is his real life. After completing his studies and his period of theoretical and practical training at the Nautical Institute of Crotone, at the age of 19 he began to sail around the world. First, as a cadet for an oil tanker shipping company. Then, in 2002, after obtaining his officer's license, his interests changed, and he preferred to opt for the cruise ships industries. This will not only allow him to travel all over the world, and to get to know countries and nations that he could never have imagined seeing as a boy, but also allows him to participate directly and personally in the most delicate phase of the construction of a ship, directly on the shipyards to provide together with his team any suggestions to the technicians who work on the details.

It was in 2022 that Captain Luciano Montesanto was promoted to Master of the Seven Seas Splendor and in 2023 appointed to be the Master of the Seven Seas Grandeur

"It is an immense privilege to have been appointed Master of a brand new ship like this, and to be part of this incredible team of professionals colleagues. As an Italian, I must admit, I am also very proud of the fact that the ship was entirely built in my home country and it will be an honor to share the Made in Italy craftmanship all over the world”.

With 548 crew members, 373 different suites, complete with a balcony overlooking the sea, 10 different meeting places, Seven Seas Grandeur will be able to accommodate at least 746 passengers and will boast a gross tonnage of 55,500 tons, providing – assure the Fincantieri technicians who built it – one of the highest public spaces and crew ratios in the sector. It is practically the sister ship of Seven Seas Explorer, along with the Seven Seas Splendor. Regent Seven Seas cruises is the world's leading luxury cruise line, offering an unrivaled experience for over 30 years. Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Voyager and from 2023 Seven Seas Grandeur - form the most luxurious fleet in the world, ships that call at over 500 different destinations around the world every year.

Andrea De Marco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: "We are proud to have brought together this highly skilled leadership team to ensure that every Seven Seas Grandeur voyage delivers the unparalleled Regent experience for our luxury travelers. The breathtaking beauty of this ship will exceed the expectations of the most discerning travelers. On board, guests will find eye-catching, reimagined designs for signature restaurants, inundated with exquisite culinary choices."

Not to mention the suites, from the sumptuous $11,000-a-night "Regent Suite" to the contemporary, yet timeless, "distinctive suites," they are all spacious and beautifully appointed. "Seven Seas Grandeur offers 15 different categories of accommodation, but perhaps the most exclusive detail is that Seven Seas Grandeur will also house a multimillion-dollar art collection, unique in the world at least in this cruise sector, whose 'pièce de résistance' will be a specially designed masterpiece – 'journey in jewels' – in short, the first fabergé egg to reside permanently at sea".

The inaugural season of Seven Seas Grandeur therefore starts next November 2023 to conquer the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, but there are also two transatlantic voyages scheduled. The ship's official godmother will be Sarah Fabergé, founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of the great Peter Carl Fabergé, and she will be attending the ship's Christening during an during an international gala already set in Miami, Florida, for December 10, 2023.

Free, unlimited shore excursions are available at every port, making this ship the only truly all-inclusive cruise line. Travel fares also include, gourmet cuisine at a wide range of specialty restaurants, especially outdoor dining. And as if all of this wasn't enough, fine wines and spirits, entertainment, unlimited internet access, complimentary laundry service, and one-night pre-cruise hotel packages for guests staying in concierge-level suites and above.

A ship not for everyone, this must also be said, but it is on this naval unit that from next November, an all-Calabrian heart will beat day and night.
